Swamp Talk: Student Government Elections

The fliers are everywhere. Wearing a sticker protects you from being hassled in Turlington. Platforms are proudly displayed. Sometimes, there’s a dog wearing a t-shirt. If you’ve been on campus for a couple of years, you probably know that these signs only point one way- election season is here.

Student Government elections began today and will continue until tomorrow. Polls will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. You can vote at the following locations: Southwest Recreational Center, Springs Residential Complex, Murphree Commons, Broward Hall, Jennings Hall, the Reitz Union, Bryan Hall, the Computer Science and Engineering Building, Marston Science Library. Health Center Science Library, College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Law.

There are two parties participating in this year’s election: the Students Party and the Swamp Party, You can find out information about their platforms by checking their websites:

Make sure to bring your Gator1 if you are planning to vote in this semester’s election.
