A look at this month’s newest video games

There are a lot of big titles slated for release this month, so here we go.

First, get ready to step back into the Fire Emblem universe! Fire Emblem: Awakening hit stores for the 3DS on Monday.

If you are itching to get back into the shoes of Isaac Clarke — or join him as John Carver in the series’ first co-op campaign — you won’t have to wait because Dead Space 3 hit stores today for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Do you remember that thieving raccoon, Sly Cooper? Well, he’s back with the whole gang in an adventure that spans the history books. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time also released today on the PS3 and PSVita.

In 2006, teasers revealed Gearbox Software’s take on the “Alien” franchise with Aliens: Colonial Marines. Well, it’s finally here, so lock and load, soldier! Aliens: Colonial Marines hits store shelves on Feb. 12 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC with a Wii U version being released at a later date.

Finish the trilogy of protagonist Prophet in Crysis 3 — or if you’re like me, use it as a means to show off the capabilities of your PC — when the game launches on Feb. 19 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Take a more action-oriented approach to Metal Gear when you take on the role of cyborg-ninja Raiden in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, also launching on Feb. 19th for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Finally, to round out the month of games, you should check out Rayman Legends, which ships exclusively for the Wii U on Feb. 26. If you’ve played the most recent entry in the series, Rayman Origins, you should be as excited for this title as I am!
