Fashion Friday: Transition from Summer to Fall

By Chelsea Perry

Even though it’s officially fall, it’s still 85+ degrees in sunny Florida. Unfortunately for us Floridians, we usually can’t fully partake in fall fashion until winter. However, there are ways to pull off fall trends without melting. Here is a guide to some common fall pieces and how you can combine them with your summer staples.

1. Floral Dress + Combat Boots

Combat boots are a staple everyone should have in their fall wardrobe. If it’s too warm to wear them with pants or jeans, pair them with your favorite summer dress.

2. High-Waisted Shorts + Tights

High-waisted shorts have become a commodity for many Florida girls this year. Pairing shorts with a pair of basic tights will allow you to wear shorts without freezing and cover your legs without getting too hot.

3. T-Shirt + Scarf

Spice up your basic tee by adding a light scarf. While heavy wool and/or cashmere scarves will have to wait a while, a light cotton infinity scarf is the perfect accessory when transitioning from the warmer summer weather to the crisp, cool air of fall.
