My heart broke a little when I found out that Matt and Kim’s performance at Swampfest was canceled due to bad weather. While I did not make it to the second annual event, I knew how much work all of the Student Government Production staff put into making this small Gainesville “music festival” a success.
Lucky for us Floridians, Matt and Kim, along with Passion Pit, Capital Cities and Two Door Cinema Club (to name a few), will be performing in Tampa on November 9 and West Palm Beach on November 10. The festival is called Coastline Festival and it is not too late to get tickets. The event is described as a musiculinary experience, meaning you’ll be able to get crafted beer and choose from all of the eclectic food trucks. From my experience at music festivals, that pretty much means your taste buds will be in heaven. Food trucks at festivals are the best because they know you are ready to eat all the time.
What is also great about this festival is that it’s affordable. Unlike other festivals that can be astronomically expensive, for one day you can buy a ticket for only $30. Take the leap and buy a ticket, there is no school Friday the 8th or Monday the 11th.
